The Knights of Columbus hosted a dinner and raffle to raise funds for the Williams Syndrome Association (www.williams-syndrome.org) on Saturday, June 9th, at 6 p.m. in the Parish Hall. An excellent dinner was prepared by Chef Eddie Bocanegra and featured Chicken Cordon Bleu, vegetable medley, wild rice, garden salad and dessert. Entertainment was provided by the Theatre Arlington Guild Players performing “TAG Home Companion,” a Texas radio-style review. Raffle items included two sets of four box seats to a Texas Rangers game, a Ride in a Flight Simulator, 2 tickets to a pre-season Dallas Cowboys game, a Comfort Suites 2 night stay, Hyatt Place and LaQuinta Inn 1 night stays, Theater Arlington tickets, and several retaurant gift certificates including Babe's, Houlihan's Boomerjack's, Sherlock's Pub and Grille, Chili's, Black Eyed Pea, Olive Garden and Buffalo Wild Wings. Thanks again to Chef Eddie for the great meal he prepared ! It was great ! He's the best ! Thanks also to all the Knights who volunteered, especially our emcee, Dennis Volz and Pat Mckerring and Bill Pavliska for their guidance and support of this effort. Thanks to Paul and Gwen Wills for their help to make this a special event for those with Williams Syndrome and also for those who attended. The Knights of Columbus want to thank all those who attended and bought raffle tickets for this special cause. All money raised will go to the Williams Syndrome Association. We hope you can join us next year for this worthwhile cause. Pictures below are from ticket selling efforts.
